Got this very interesting article on Father’s Day HERE. Read it, it’s good for the mind and soul . Fathers are often not recognized not as much as how mothers are. So on this Father’s Day, let me say Kudos to the Men in our homes . Have a good Father’s day!
What is a father?
A father is a person who is forced to endure childbirth without an anesthetic.
He growls when he feels good and laughs very loud when he is scared half-to-death. He needs to be a picture of strength even though he may be scared and sad from the inside.
A father never feels entirely worthy of the worship in a child’s eyes. He is never quite the hero his daughter thinks. Never quite the man his son believes him to be. And this worries him sometimes. (So he works too hard to try to smooth the rough places in the road of those of his own who will follow him.)
A father is a person who goes to war sometimes…and would run the other way except that war is part of an important job in his life (which is making the world better for his child than it has been for him). Fathers grow older faster than other people, because they, in other wars, have to stand at the train station and wave goodbye to the uniform that climbs on board. And, while mothers cry where it shows, fathers stand and beam…outside…and die inside.
Fathers are men who give daughters away to other men who aren’t nearly good enough, so that they can have children that are smarter than anybody’s. I have two lovely daughters. As early as now I am in rehearsals. I do not want to cry on their wedding day. As I give them away, I will refuse to believe that I am handing over a lovely piece of valuable gem or jewelry that I have protected, sheltered and loved and now turning it over to a …….. gorilla!
Fathers fight dragons almost daily. They hurry away from the breakfast table off to the arena, which is sometimes called an office or a workshop. There they tackle the dragon with three heads: Weariness, Works, and Monotony. (and may I add another one – their lousy bosses…….) And they never quite win the fight, but they never give up. Knights in shining armor; fathers in shiny trousers. There’s little difference as they march away each workday.
And when Father passes away, and after a good rest, I suspect he won’t just sit on a cloud and wait for the girl he’s loved and the children she bore. He’ll be busy there too… excited and doing what needs to be done. Till he meets them all one day.
To all the fathers out there…… Happy father’s Day! The best inheritance you can leave your children is a life well lived and an example worth emulating!
I am just finishing 2 more long weeks of Spring quarter and I am off to a week’s vacation then start with Summer Quarter. I know my hard work will pay off and I just have to keep going until the end of this year . I am just happy that in time for my graduation, my folks are here to celebrate it with me.
So if you have a chance to further your education by getting a degree online or on campus, whichever you decide on, know that it will be one of the best decisions you will make in your life.

As soon as my spouse and I found out that we are going to have a baby, we immediately want to buy baby stuff such as Baby Bedding, clothings, bottles, cribs, etc… etc… Obviously, we were both excited new parents. However, most of our friends and relatives told us that we should hold back on buying baby stuff as early as 4, 5 or 6 months. Besides since that was our 1st baby, there would obviously baby showers bound to happen. True enough, friends threw 2 baby shower for us and boy did we get more than what we need. We need not shop for more but of course, we had to add some essentials on top of the baby shower gifts. We found out about the gender of our baby on our 5th month and originally, we were set to give this brown and blue color motif for our baby’s room but then again, we realize we need to be practical. We need to at least choose colors for baby stuff and need that could still be used by our 2nd baby despite of his or her gender say Green and Yellow Anyways, this blue and brown combination is still close to my heart and if you are the kind of parent who wants to indulge and splurge a little, you can visit babybeddingplace.com for more of these beautiful baby beddings.
A friend shared this youtube video to me. It was the 1st time I heard of this Xbox 360 Sensor! It is a better version of Nintendo’s Wii minus the controller. Lucky us as we have Xbox 360 already, all we need is to buy the Sensor and we’re off to looking like this bunch of happy people harhar I think I will look funny playing this.
The only concern I have is health hazard because of its depth sensor, it can even apply sensor on your whole body and clothes. What do you think? Read more about it HERE.
